This Explore DC, NYC, Boston tour will take your group on a fascinating journey from the colonial fight for freedom to the battles and obstacles our nation has faced to maintain that freedom. Learn how different cultures helped shape this nation and gain an appreciation for the sacrifices made for the freedom we experience today.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: TRAVEL DAY / SMITHSONIAN MUSEUMS / TIDAL BASIN MEMORIALS

  • After meeting your JE Guide at the airport, transfer to the District
  • Spend the afternoon exploring the Smithsonian Museums and the National Archives
  • Dinner
  • Evening guided walking tour of the Tidal Basin Memorials:
    • Jefferson, MLK Jr., and FDR Memorials
  • Conclude the day with devotions

DAY 2: CAPITOL HILL / WHITE HOUSE / MALL MEMORIALS

  • Breakfast
  • Morning visit to Capitol Hill:
    • Interior guided Capitol tour, self-guided interior visit to Library of Congress, exterior visit to the Supreme Court*
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon visit to Museum of the Bible
  • Afternoon visit to the White House
  • Dinner
  • Evening guided walking tour of the Mall Memorials: Lincoln, WWII, Vietnam, and Korea War Memorials
  • Conclude the day with devotions

DAY 3: ARLINGTON CEMETERY / MINISTRY / PENTAGON 9/11 MEMORIAL

  • Breakfast
  • Morning guided tour of Arlington Cemetery
    • Stops include JFK’s gravesite and the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
  • Quick stop at the Iwo Jima Marine Memorial
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon visit to a local community ministry
  • Dinner
  • Evening visit to the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial
  • Conclude the day with devotions

DAY 4: NYC TRANSFER / MIDTOWN MANHATTAN / TIMES SQUARE

  • Early morning breakfast and transfer to NYC
  • Arrive at hotel and drop off luggage – NYC Subway safety information briefing
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon walking tour of Midtown Manhattan
    • Stops include St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Plaza with Radio City Music Hall, Bryant Park, Grand Central Terminal, and the Chrysler Building.
  • Dinner in Times Square and time to explore
  • Conclude the day with devotions

DAY 5: LOWER MANHATTAN / ELLIS ISLAND / BROADWAY PLAY

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Morning visit to Lower Manhattan
    • Harbor cruise to Ellis Island with views of the Statue of Liberty
  • Walking tour of Lower Manhattan
    • Wall St., Battery Park, Trinity Church, NYSE, and Federal Hall
  • Return to hotel to change for the evening
  • Dinner & Broadway show
  • Conclude the day with devotions

DAY 6: CENTRAL PARK / NYC MUSEUM / DEPART FOR BOSTON

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Morning visit to Central Park
  • Morning visit to the NYC Museum of your choice: Natural History or the Met
  • Depart for Boston
  • Dinner
  • Arrive at hotel and check-in
  • Conclude the day with devotions

DAY 7: BOSTON FREEDOM TRAIL

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Walking tour of Freedom Trail sites
    • Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum, Boston Common, Old Granary Burying Ground, and Old State House
  • Lunch on your own at Quincy Market
  • Continue walking tour of Freedom Trail sites
    • Paul Revere House, Old North Church, and U.S.S. Constitution.
  • Dinner
  • Conclude the day with devotions

DAY 8: BOSTON / DEPARTURE

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Check out and load coach
  • Morning visit to Lexington and Concord where you will visit Lexington Battle Green, Old North Bridge, and Walden Pond.
  • Lunch on your own
  • Departure home
