Days 1-2
Your group will take an overnight flight to Amsterdam, where your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet you at the airport. After checking in at the hotel, you will head out for an eye-opening tour of the Anne Frank House, then spend some time at the Van Gogh Museum in the afternoon. A tour of the city of Amsterdam will take you into the evening hours where the day will conclude with dinner and devotions at the hotel.Day 3
After breakfast, the group will travel to Haarlem, location of the Corrie ten Boom House. After touring the home and museum, you will enjoy lunch in the market before setting out for Brussels. Your group will stop for the night at The Hague, location of the International Court of Justice, and the evening will close with dinner and devotions at the hotel.Day 4
You will depart for Brussels in the morning and take some time to visit the famous Grote Markt, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. There will be an opportunity for you to explore the area and enjoy lunch before the group sets out for Bastogne in the afternoon. In Bastogne you will learn about the Battle of the Bulge, which took place in the Ardennes forest near the town. Later, the group will continue to Paris and check into the hotel before dinner and devotions.Day 5
Your morning will be spent at the Louvre Museum, taking in such infamous works as Mona Lisa and Venus di Milo. After lunch in the city, the group will depart for Normandy, checking into a hotel in Caen. In the evening you will have some free time to explore the area before the day concludes with devotions and discussion at the hotel.Day 6
Following breakfast, the group will visit the Memorial Museum of Caen which will reintroduce you to the events of D-Day and the summer of 1944. In the afternoon you will travel to Omaha Beach and spend some time viewing the American cemetery. You will also visit Pointe du Hoc, the clifftop location where American Rangers assaulted a fortified German gun site. Following these memorable tours, your group will return to Caen in the evening for dinner and devotions.Day 7
In the morning the group will depart Caen for the picturesque fishing village of Honfleur. The little seaside town is one of the best preserved ports of Normandy. You will have some leisure time to shop and enjoy the village before returning to Paris, where your day will conclude with dinner and devotions.Day 8
This morning you will visit the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, and than have some time to wander among the street artists before visiting the famous Notre-Dame Cathedral. You will have the chance to go inside and even take the option to climb the bell tower if you like. After lunch, the group will visit the Place de la Concorde and walk down the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, where you can enjoy some free time and shopping. In the evening, the group will head over to climb the Eiffel Tower and take in the most spectacular view of Paris. Dinner and devotions at hotel will round out this busy day. (Optional activities involving fees are not included in the price of the trip.)Day 9
The group will depart early this morning for Berlin. After checking into the hotel and taking some time for lunch, you will be able to visit the Checkpoint Charlie Museum, the remnants of the Berlin Wall, and the Brandenburg Gate before heading over to climb the steps of the Reichstag. Later, you will walk over to explore the Soviet War Memorial and Alexanderplatz before visiting the new Potsdamer Platz and taking some individual free time. The day will close with dinner and devotions at the hotel.Day 10
During the morning of this final full day of activities, the group will spend some time at Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp for a sobering look at the human cost of the war. Venturing back into the city you will stop in one of the wonderful market areas for lunch, and then in the afternoon you may opt to visit the powerful Jewish Museum or the Pergamon Museum. This last afternoon will conclude with a stroll down the Unter den Linden for one last chance of shopping before returning to the hotel for dinner and devotions.Day 11
After an unforgettable look back at a timeless piece of world history, you will depart for home.Navigation
