Answering the Call

Joshua Expeditions has always been privileged to serve people in unique corners around the globe, and thousands of lives have been touched worldwide by student groups with hearts for missions and service. Many communities, missionaries, and churches have been encouraged through the willingness of youth to share the love of Christ. In addition to ongoing projects from previous years, JE has committed to continued partnership in the following projects:

Building homes for families affected by HIV/AIDS and providing clean water wells for families in remote parts of Africa.

Helping supply coats and blankets to children for the winter seasons in New York City and Washington, D.C.

Construction of a nutrition center in the marginal community of La Carpio, Costa Rica.
Ministry to an orphanage in La Fortuna, Costa Rica.

Thanks to a very generous donation from one of our partner schools, the playground pictured here was built for the children in the orphanage. Our groups have also helped to paint the children's home and provide new clothes and shoes that actually fit. The orphanage was also blessed with new office equipment and technology, and new toys and games were provided for the kids.

Sometimes groups wonder how they can help minister in other parts of the world. Joshua Expeditions has seen that even a seemingly small gift of tubes of toothpaste has been most important to children in orphanages and remote villages; each child is simply excited to have his or her own tube! The overwhelming response to La Fortuna has resulted in abundant blessings for not only the orphanage but for the children at the local public school, who benefited from extra school supplies. We see this same type of blessing all over the world as we take students to minister with children and adults alike. We know that God blesses both the givers and the receivers, and your ministry really touches hearts for Christ!

Join us this year in taking the challenge issued by Jesus:
"I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.… Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." — Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
