Day 1

Following arrival in San Antonio, your expedition begins with a walking tour of Paseo Del Rio or "River Walk," which was designed in 1939 as part of FDR’s Works Projects Administration. Later you will enjoy a narrated boat ride through San Antonio's picturesque downtown then close the day with dinner and devotions.

Days 2-3

Today you will begin two days of service with SAMministries, a local agency that serves the homeless and impoverished populations of the city. You may find yourself working on anything from cleaning, light painting and feeding the homeless to sorting and distributing supplies. You may also have opportunity to share your faith in one-on-one conversations. Each task will allow you to share the love of Christ word and deed. At the close of each day, your group will enjoy dinner together and share a time for devotions.

Day 4

Today you will be able to explore San Antonio! Your group will begin the day at the Alamo, the mission defended by a small Texan army against the troops of Mexican general Santa Anna, then take some time to visit Misión de San Jose, the largest of the region's original five missions. In the evening, you will head to Brackenridge Park, an outdoor showplace featuring a Japanese Tea Garden. There may also be time to visit Market Square for souvenir shopping and Mexican pastries before the day concludes with dinner and devotions.

Day 5

This morning, as time allows, you will have one last chance for shopping and sightseeing before time to head back home.
