Days 1-2
Your group will take an overnight flight into Madrid, Spain, where your Joshua Expeditions tour director will meet you at the airport. After a short sightseeing tour in Madrid your group will enjoy a nice meal and then transfer to Salamanca, where you will visit the University of Salamanca, oldest university in Spain. There will also be time to explore this unique town before dinner and devotions conclude your day.Day 3
Following breakfast, your group will head to a local ministry site for a full day of missions. During the evening you will visit Plaza Mayor and take some time to walk through the area toward El Puente Romano, the roman bridge over the River Tormes. Dinner will be followed by devotions at the close of the day.Day 4
This morning your group will head back to the ministry site for a morning of service. During the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the Cathedral that is actually two cathedrals (the old and the new) built right next to one another. Later, your group will return to Madrid, making a short visit to Ávila on the way back. You will enjoy dinner and some sightseeing before concluding the day with dinner and devotions at the hotel.Day 5
Today your group will explore the city of Madrid! You will visit the Prado Museum, which houses many works of renowned European artists, including Goya, Velázquez and El Greco, and then you will take a guided walking tour of the city that includes Puerta del Sol and Plaza de España with monuments to Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Your evening will include dinner and a Flamenco show, then your group will wrap up the day with devotions.Day 6
Following breakfast your group will travel by bus to ancient Toledo where you will visit the city’s gothic cathedral and the Church of Santo Tomé. You will return to Madrid in the evening for dinner and devotions.Day 7
This morning you will enjoy the picturesque views of Segovia's famous Alcázar and visit the monstrous Roman aqueduct en route to El Escorial, Philip II's imposing palace. Your group will also visit the Valley of the Fallen with its massive granite cross erected as a memorial to those who died in the Spanish Civil War. You will return to Madrid for dinner then conclude the day with a final night of group devotions.Day 8
Your tour of Spain concludes today as you head to the airport for the flight back to the States.Navigation
