Day 1
Your group will arrive in San Francisco and spend the day exploring the city by cable car. You will visit such places as Union Square, North Beach (Little Italy) and Lombard Street, the crookedest street in the world. In the evening you will visit Chinatown to dine on exquisite local cuisine and shop for great bargains on souvenirs. The day will conclude devotions at the hotel.Day 2
Today you will visit the historic Golden Gate Bridge and marvel at this engineering masterpiece, then take a walk through beautiful Golden Gate Park Botanical Gardens and Japanese Tea Garden. This exciting day will be topped off with dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf, home to world famous sea lions and the shops of Pier 39. A time of devotions will conclude the evening at the hotel.Day 3
This morning your group will escape to Alcatraz to learn firsthand about America’s most infamous penitentiary and the prisoners who tried to break out. In the afternoon, you will serve at a local ministry in the heart of the city, then visit Ghirardelli Square, a former chocolate factory that is now the site of numerous shops, restaurants and, of course, a whole lot of chocolate! Devotions at the hotel will round out the day.Day 4
Your group will head down to the Monterey Peninsula this morning and see some of the most beautiful coastline in Northern California. You will embark on an exciting whale-watching boat ride where, depending upon the time of the year, you could see humpback whales, killer whales and dolphins. The group will spend the evening along Cannery Row, made famous by John Steinbeck in his novel of the same name. Now a neighborhood filled with restaurants and shops, it once was an industrial strip famous for canning sardines and other seafood. Your group's evening devotions will wrap up the day at the hotel in Monterey.Day 5
Following breakfast, the group will head to the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, which houses over 500 species of plants and animals. You will have the opportunity to pet a live stingray, watch otters at play, and learn about the future of the earth's oceans and coastlines. In the afternoon you will head back o the City by the Bay to explore one last time before closing the day with devotions at the hotel.Day 6
You will have time this morning for some last-minute shopping in San Francisco before departing for home.Navigation
