Days 1-2

Your group will take an overnight flight to Athens where your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet you at the airport, A walking tour will help you get oriented to Athens, the city known as the cradle of Western Civilization. You will visit the ancient Acropolis and see the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena and the Theatre of Dionysus, where the plays of Athenian dramatists were first performed. You will also tour the immensely popular National Archaeological Museum before the day concludes with devotions and discussion at your hotel.


Day 3

Your second day in Athens will include a visit to the Arch of Hadrian, the ruins of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the site where the first modern Olympic Games were held. There will also be free time for shopping in the Plaka district and the Agora marketplace, along with an opportunity to browse in one or more of the art galleries in the city. In the evening you will experience a Sound and Light show that will literally illuminate Athens past. Devotions will conclude the day at the hotel.


Day 4

This morning your group will head to the ancient city of Corinth, which was the subject of two of the Apostle Paul’s epistles. This city, known during the time of Paul for the wild lifestyles of its citizens, is now mostly famous for its ancient glories, especially the 6th-century B.C. Temple of Apollo and the Roman Agora and Odeon. After this day of exploration, you will return to Athens for dinner then take some time to prepare for your 3-day cruise of the Isles.


Day 5

Following breakfast the group will board a cruise from Piraeus to venture over to Mykonos for the evening. The day will be full as Greek culture and history come alive at every step.


Day 6

Your cruise will take you to the island of Rhodes today where you can explore the medieval town and the Acropolis of Lindos, as well as the port where Paul docked on the way back to Jerusalem. The group will then continue on to Patmos to view the grotto where John wrote the book of Revelation. This historical site provides a perfect setting for teaching and sharing.


Day 7

Your cruise concludes today with a visit to Kusadasi and Ephesus. A local guide will bring these locations alive to you as never before. Afterward, you will return to Piraeus and conclude the evening with group devotions.


Day 8

Your group will head out this morning for the flight back home.
