Days 1-2

Your group will take an overnight flight into Paris where your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet you at the airport. Your tour of Paris will begin with a visit to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame and surrounding area. Your group will then travel over to view the Arc de Triomphe and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, where you will have some free time to explore on your own. Later, the group will head over to the Eiffel Tower and get a breathtaking view from the top! Following dinner in the city, you will return to the hotel for devotions and discussion.


Day 3

Today your group will begin exploring some of the sites around the largest museum in the world, the Louvre, which houses Mona Lisa and countless other magnificent works of art. In the afternoon you will see Montmartre, the famous church on a hill which overlooks the city of Paris, and you will have more time to explore and do some shopping in a nearby outdoor art gallery. The group will meet for dinner then head to the hotel to prepare for departure to Italy. You will spend this night on the train to Florence.


Day 4

This morning you will awaken in Florence, Italy! After taking a little time to freshen up at your hotel, the group will make its way to the Galleria dell'Accademia, home of the towering statue of David. Later, you will enjoy a walk over to the Basilica di San Lorenzo before taking some time for lunch and shopping in the open market. In the afternoon you will visit the massive church called the Duomo where you might opt to climb over 400 stairs to the top! Following dinner, you will enjoy a stroll down the Arno River before hiking up to visit Piazzale Michelangelo and take in a view of the city from above. The day will conclude back at the hotel with a time for devotions and discussion.


Day 5

Your group will venture out this morning into the hills of Tuscany. You will first visit Piazza Signorina and stroll by the Uffizi and across the Ponte Vecchio, then choose from a couple of activities for the afternoon. You might want to visit the tower of Pisa or you might choose the Tuscan city of Siena with the Tower of Mangia. Your group will return to the hotel in the evening for a final night of devotions in Florence. (Additional fees will apply for some of the afternoon activities.)


Day 6

Today the group will take a bus through Tuscany toward Rome, enjoying spectacular countryside along the way. In Rome, you will head first to the Spanish Steps where you will have some time to relax, shop and explore. Later, the group will head over to the enormous Trevi Fountain where you will want to participate in the tradition of tossing a coin over your shoulder and into the fountain to ensure a return journey to Rome in the future. The day will conclude with dinner, followed by devotions and discussion at the hotel.


Day 7

This morning your group will visit Vatican City. You will explore the Vatican Museum and see the famous Sistine Chapel, then take a short walk over to St. Peter's Basilica. Here, the group will discuss Catholicism and its impact on Christianity before departing for Piazza Navona and a view of the Pantheon. Your day will close with dinner in the city before returning to the hotel for devotions and discussion.


Day 8

Today is your first opportunity to fully tour the Eternal City of Rome! In the morning the group will travel to see the 2000-year-old Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Arch of Titus and the ancient Roman Forum. You will also tour Mamertine Prison, the traditional site of St. Paul's imprisonment while in Rome. Following lunch in the area, you will have plenty of time to shop and explore the main street of Via del Corso on this final afternoon of your trip.


Day 9

The group will depart from Rome early this morning on a return flight toward home.
