Choir Tour of New York City

Day 1

Your group will arrive in New York City and meet your Joshua Expeditions guide at the airport then transfer to the hotel for check-in and a quick orientation. You will head into midtown Manhattan for the afternoon, including lunch at Grand Central Station and a walking tour of Midtown. You will see such sites as Bryant Park, New York Public Library and Rockefeller Center. In the evening, the group will enjoy dinner in the city followed by a Broadway show. The evening will close with devotions and a time of discussion at the hotel.

Day 2

Following breakfast, the group will set out to visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Radio City Music Hall, where you will be treated to a backstage tour. After lunch in Union Square, you will get to do some shopping in Chinatown and Little Italy before stopping for dinner and another evening at a Broadway show. Devotions at the hotel will conclude the second day.

Day 3

This morning you will transfer to Battery Park, then take the ferry beside the Statue of Liberty on your way to Ellis Island. After touring the museum that chronicles the immigrant experience of the early 20th century, the group will return to Manhattan and present a choir performance at Battery Park. Later, you will enjoy a walking tour of the financial district, including Trinity Church, Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall, St. Paul’s Chapel and Ground Zero. In the evening, you will have a special treat with dinner at Stardust Diner, home to the singing waitresses. Afterward, you will have some leisure time to explore Times Square before returning to the hotel for devotions.

Day 4

[Scheduled for Sundays] Your group will attend the morning service at Brooklyn Tabernacle where you will see and hear its renowned choir up close. In the afternoon, you will enjoy lunch in Prospect Park or a location near the church, then spend the afternoon exploring Prospect Park at leisure. This will wrap up your tour of NYC, and it will be time to gather your belongings at the hotel and head to the airport for the flight home.
