Big City Lights

Day 1

Your Joshua Expeditions guide will greet your group upon arrival in the Big Apple. After a brief orientation and safety session, the group will head out for a walking tour of Midtown Manhattan where you will see such sites as Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, Radio City Music Hall, St Patrick's Cathedral, Bryant Park and Grand Central Station. Following dinner your group will take a nighttime tour of Times Square, the "Crossroads of the World," then return to the hotel for devotions and a time of discussion.

Day 2

Your morning will begin with a ferry ride past the Statue of Liberty to Ellis Island where you will learn about early immigration to the U.S. Afterward, the group will embark on an urban hike to visit Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall, Ground Zero, St. Paul's Chapel, Little Italy and Chinatown. Here, you will have free time for lunch and a little shopping, and the afternoon will conclude with a walking tour through Soho, Greenwich Village and Washington Square Park, home to NYU. Following dinner in the evening you will have more free time for shopping and additional sightseeing before returning to the hotel for devotions.

Day 3

Your group will spend the morning in ministry with a local organization, serving the people of New York City and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. In the afternoon you will have free time to explore Union Square before a night out on the town. The evening will include a special dinner and a Broadway play, then conclude with devotions and a time of discussion at the hotel.

Day 4

Following breakfast at the hotel you will have the option to spend the morning shopping or visiting either the world famous Metropolitan Museum of Art or the American Museum of Natural History (additional fees may apply). The group will meet for a picnic lunch in Central Park after which you can take time to explore some of the 640+ acres of green space in the middle of New York City. In the afternoon you may want to shop on 5th Avenue, take a carriage ride through Central Park or just head down to Macy's Department Store. The group will meet together for dinner in the city then take in a view that will never be forgotten as you head to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. Or your group might choose to head to the top of Rockefeller Center. At the close of the evening, you will return to your hotel for a time of devotions.

Day 5

Following morning check-out, your group will head to Rockefeller Center for a tour of NBC studios, where such shows as Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock are filmed. There will be some time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing before you collect your bags and transfer to the airport for the flight home.
