Day 1

Your group will arrive in New Orleans and meet your Joshua Expeditions guide at the airport. Following a quick orientation session, you will visit the Ninth Ward, which is considered Ground Zero of Hurricane Katrina due to the level of destruction that occurred in August 2005. This introduction to the city will stay with you as the group heads out to dinner then shares a time of devotion to reflect on what was experienced throughout the day.


Day 2

Today you will have your first opportunity to minister to the people of New Orleans. Potential projects include painting, light construction and yardwork as you help to rebuild and restore homes in the city. In the evening your choir group will perform at a local venue, then close the day with dinner and devotions.


Day 3

Throughout the morning and afternoon your group will continue to assist in the rebuilding effort for communities in need. Following dinner, you will enjoy a show at the nationally recognized performance center Preservation Hall. Local musicians are keeping alive the original music of New Orleans, and you will find this to be an experience of a lifetime. No doubt you will be inspired! The day will close back at the hotel with a time to share devotions and personal experiences.


Day 4

Your group will spend this final full day sightseeing in the city! You will enjoy a walking tour of the French Quarter in the morning to experience the vibrant history of this infamous area of New Orleans. The group will stop by St. Louis Cathedral, known as the oldest operating cathedral in the U.S., and in the afternoon you will head over to the Riverwalk Marketplace for an extended time of shopping at the unique sites.Dinner and devotions will conclude the day.


Day 5

You will have time this morning for last-minute shopping before your group departs for home.
