Days 1-2

Your group will take an overnight flight into Madrid, Spain, where your Joshua Expeditions tour guide will meet you at the airport. After checking into the hotel, you will visit the Prado Museum, which houses many works of renowned European artists, including Goya, Velázquez and El Greco. In the afternoon your group will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city that includes Puerta del Sol and Plaza de España with the monuments to Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. You will also see the historic Plaza Mayor before concluding the day with dinner and group devotions at the hotel.


Day 3

This morning the group will journey by bus to ancient Toledo to visit the city's gothic cathedral and the Church of Santo Tomé. From there you will travel down to Granada at the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. The evening will close with dinner and devotions.


Day 4

In the morning you will tour Alhambra Palace with its beautiful Moorish architecture. Nearby are the Generalife Gardens, where the Moorish kings spent their summers. After a guided walking tour of Granada in the afternoon, you will have some free time to explore Plaza Nueva and the Cathedral Square. Late in the day the group will travel to Seville and close the day with devotions.


Day 5

Your day will begin with a walking tour of Seville, the capital of Andalusia, where you will see Plaza de España, Maria Luisa Park, and the Cathedral of Seville. In the afternoon your group will stroll through the old Santa Cruz quarter and explore the area's Old World streets. There will be opportunity for you to explore the city on your own, as well. In the evening the group will head to Costa del Sol and conclude the day with devotions.


Day 6

Your group will travel by boat this morning across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco for a guided sightseeing trip in this North African country. Following lunch you will have a chance to shop in the local markets or just relax on the beaches of Costa del Sol. At the end of the day, your group take some time for devotions and discussion of personal experiences.


Day 7

After a morning departure to Córdoba, you will enjoy a tour of La Mezquite, the masterpiece of the Moors. This ancient mosque was later transformed by Christians and is still used today as a cathedral. There will be some free time for shopping and exploration before stopping for lunch, and then the group will head north, back to Madrid for the night.


Day 8

Your unforgettable journey through Spain and Morocco concludes this morning as your group returns to the airport in Madrid for the flight back home.
