California Dreamin'

Day 1

Your group will arrive in Los Angeles and meet your Joshua Expeditions guide at the airport before heading out to explore the city. You will see the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the world famous Hollywood sign as well as Kodak Theater, the home of the Academy Awards. Your group will enjoy a movie at one of L.A.'s famous theaters such as the Egyptian, El Capitan or Mann's Chinese Theater, then take a drive in the afternoon through Sunset Boulevard with a visit to Rodeo Drive. In the early evening, you will head to Santa Monica Pier or Venice Beach for some shopping, sightseeing and dinner. This full day will close with devotions at the hotel.

Day 2

This morning the group will volunteer at a local ministry serving the Los Angeles area. In the afternoon you can grab your board and head to Huntington Beach – Surf City, USA – home to the U.S. Open of Surfing and AVP Pro Beach Volleyball. You will have time to catch some waves, visit the numerous shops, or just relax in the sun before the group returns to the hotel for devotions in the evening.

Day 3

You will set out this morning for a full day of fun at one of L.A.’s amazing theme parks, such as Universal Studios, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm or Magic Mountain. At the end of this fun adventure, the group will return to the hotel and round out the day with devotions.

Day 4

Early in the morning your group will set sail for Catalina Island, located 26 miles off the California coast. You will have the option to snorkel, take a glass-bottomed boat ride, explore the island on bike, or simply enjoy the beach and shop at the many local shops. You will sail back in the early evening for a time of devotions at the hotel.

Day 5

Before departing L.A. for home, there will be time for last-minute shopping at such sites as the Grove, an ultra-hip shopping destination, or at the Los Angeles Farmer’s Market, the first of its kind in the country.
