Los Angeles Media Tour

Day 1

Your group will arrive in Los Angeles and meet your Joshua Expeditions guide. First up is lunch in Hollywood at Pink’s Famous Hot Dogs. (You will need cash for this meal, which is not included in the price of the trip.) In the afternoon your group will take a walking tour of Hollywood Boulevard followed by a tour of Kodak Theatre, the home of the Academy Awards. Afterward, you will enjoy meeting with the Hollywood Prayer Network and learning how they and other Christians are making a difference in Hollywood through the act of prayer. You will stop for dinner at UWink, an interactive restaurant, then take some time to shop at Hollywood and Highlands. Devotions will conclude your day.

Day 2

This morning you will attend an improv workshop at Stella Adler Studio of Acting, once considered to feature the most well-known drama teachers in the world. Following lunch at Sony Pictures Studios, your group will head out for a walking tour through the entire studio and onto sound stages where actual TV shows and movies are filmed. Afterward, you will head to Santa Monica to explore the beach and boardwalk and to enjoy dinner and shopping. The evening will close with group devotions.

Day 3

Today you will visit Act One, another exciting ministry in Hollywood. Located in the foothills of the Hollywood sign, this ministry teaches directors and producers ways to share their faith while working in the industry. Your group will stop for lunch at the famous In-n-Out Burger in Hollywood, then head out to visit Universal Studios. You will have the opportunity to tour the backlot of Universal, experience thrilling rides, and learn more about the entertainment industry. At the end of the day there will be time to explore the shops at Universal CityWalk and dinner at Bubba Gump. Your group will conclude the evening with devotions at the hotel.

Day 4

You will depart early this morning for Disneyland Resort in Anaheim where you will attend “Disney’s Animation Magic” program and learn about the history, creativity and innovation of the animation process. The remainder of the afternoon will be spent exploring Disneyland and California Adventures, then you will end the day shopping for souvenirs at Downtown Disney. Devotions at the hotel will wrap up this full day.

Day 5

After a morning check-out at the hotel, your group will depart for Beverly Hills, home to Rodeo Drive. You will have time for some window shopping before departing to Paley Center for the Media which looks at how radio, television and other emerging technologies influence the culture. You will be able to explore the media library, and the group will even be treated to a special viewing. At lunch you will be off to the Farmer’s Market, the first of its kind in the country, and then you will have time to shop at The Grove before your group departs for the airport and your flight home. (Lunch on this final day is not included in the price of the trip.)
