Day 1

This morning your group will board a bus and begin the drive to Springfield. You will stop in the New Salem village area for lunch* then continue to the capital city. Your Springfield tour will begin with a visit to the burial place of President Abraham Lincoln and the memorials for war veterans of Vietnam, Korea and World War II. Afterward, your group will divide and participate in one of two activities: a visit to the home of President Lincoln or a visit to the Old State Capitol. The groups will reunite in the evening for dinner, then head to the hotel for a time of devotions before lights out.
*Lunch on this first day is not included in the price of the tour.

Day 2

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will head out for a group tour of the New State Capitol. Later, the group will again separate into the smaller groups from the first day and participate in the second of the two activities: Lincoln's home or a visit to the Old State Capitol. After meeting back together for lunch, your group will head to the Lincoln Presidential Museum for a portion of the afternoon. Your time in Springfield will conclude with a visit to the Illinois State Military Museum before boarding a bus bound for home.
(Your group may want to contact your state representative or Speaker of the House and pre-arrange a visit at the Capitol.)
