Days 1-2

Your group will board an overnight flight to Athens, Greece, where you will meet a Joshua Expeditions tour director at the airport. You will then transfer to a hotel for check-in and a brief orientation before setting out for a short walking tour of the city. The evening will close with dinner and devotions at the hotel.


Day 3

Following breakfast, your group will head to port and board a ship for your 3-day cruise following in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul. You will travel today to the island of Mykonos. This day will be rich with culture and history as Paul's journey comes to life. Dinner and devotions will close the day back on the ship as you travel overnight to the next island on your journey.


Day 4

Today you will visit the island of Rhodes, which is where Paul stayed and preached on his way back to Jerusalem. This medieval locale is filled with history and ancient sites. You will return to the ship for dinner, while the cruise continues through the night.


Day 5

For this last full cruise day your group will visit the island of Patmos, where John wrote the book of Revelation! After some teaching and free time to explore, you will head into Turkey to visit the ancient city of Ephesus, where Paul once lived and preached. You will spend one more night on the ship as you return to Athens.


Day 6

Today your group will return to Athens and visit the ancient Acropolis with the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena, and the Theatre of Dionysus, where the plays of Athenian dramatists were first performed. You will spend some time on Mars Hill, where you will spend some time discussing Paul's teachings to the city. You will also see Hadrian’s Arch, the ruins of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the site where the first modern Olympic Games were held. There will be free time for shopping in the Plaka district and Agora marketplace, along with an opportunity to browse in one or more of the art galleries in the city. The day will conclude with devotions at the hotel.


Day 7

Today your group will travel to Cairo. Once you arrive, the group will close the day with devotions at the hotel.


Day 8

This morning you will begin the day with a visit to the Pyramids, the only surviving site of the "Seven Wonders of the World." You will view the Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Khefren, and the Pyramid of Mycerinus. From there you will head over to the Sphinx and the Valley Temple before traveling to Saqqara to visit the famous Step Pyramid. Throughout the day your group will make stops at the Papyrus Institute, the Natural Fragrance factory, and the Egyptian Carpet factory to see how locals create their distinctively Egyptian crafts. The evening will conclude with dinner and devotions at the hotel.


Day 9

Following breakfast, your group will spend the morning touring the Egyptian Museum. This museum houses more than 250,000 Egyptian monuments and includes the magnificent artifacts of the famous King Tutankhamen of the 18th Dynasty, New Kingdom. After lunch, you will enjoy some free time in the Midan Tahrir shopping district near your hotel, then the group will visit al-Kanisa al-Mu'allaqa (the Hanging Church) and the famous Synagogue of Ben Ezra, where the basket of Baby Moses was found. You will enjoy dinner at the hotel and the evening may offer some time for shopping in the area or even a walk along the Nile River. Your group will share one last night of devotions together and prepare for the next day's departure.


Day 10

This morning your group will depart Cairo for the flight back home.
