Day 1

Your group will arrive in Galveston where you will meet your Joshua Expeditions guide. You will then head over to Moody Gardens to explore the rainforest and aquarium that will be your first introduction to marine ecology. The group will spend time discussing the Gulf of Mexico's fragile aquatic ecosystem before closing the evening with a time of devotions.

Day 2

This morning your group will head to the beach for the day and perform net pulls to study intertidal fish and phytoplankton. In the evening, there will be a squid dissection lab followed by a time of devotions.

Day 3

This morning you will travel a few hours to New Braunfels to snorkel in the Comal River and study aquatic ecosystems. The visibility in this river is usually about 40+ feet! In the evening you will return to the river for a nighttime snorkel to study nocturnal arthropods, such as the fresh water prawns that only come out during the night. A group devotional time will conclude this final day of science studies.

Day 4

There will be time this morning for the group to do a little shopping in the town of Gruene before it will be time to head home.
