Marine Biology in Galveston

Day 1

Your group will arrive in Galveston where you will meet your Joshua Expeditions guide. You will then head over to Moody Gardens to explore the rainforest and aquarium that will be your first introduction to marine ecology. The group will spend time discussing the Gulf of Mexico's fragile aquatic ecosystem before closing the evening with a time of devotions.


Day 2

This morning your group will head to the beach for the day and perform net pulls to study intertidal fish and phytoplankton. In the evening, there will be a squid dissection lab followed by a time of devotions.


Day 3

Following breakfast, you will visit Sea Center Texas, located about an hour from Galveston. You will learn more about Gulf aquatic life and wetlands through various hands-on methods before wrapping up the trip and heading home.
