French Bible Camp Adventure

Days 1-2

Your group will take an overnight flight into either Lyon, France, or Geneva, Switzerland, where you will meet your Joshua Expeditions guide at the airport. A private coach will take you to the Christian Retreat Center tucked away in the French Alps near Grenoble, France. After settling in, you will have a time of orientation in preparation for your role as camp counselor, and in the afternoon there will be opportunity to explore the area surrounding the camp. Dinner and a time of devotion will close the day.

Days 3-6

Today you will meet your campers and dive into an extended time of sharing Christ through word and deed. You will use activities and classroom instruction to weave Truth throughout each day, including challenges aimed at relationship and team building. Each activitiy will offer a platform to demonstrate the love of Christ, and the relationships you build with the campers will assist you in sharing your faith on a daily basis.

Day 7

This day would conclude the 7-day itinerary, and your group would depart the camp for the flight home. If you choose to extend the trip for an additional week, today’s activities might include outdoor sports like rock climbing or repelling. In your role as counselor, you will have unique opportunities to share the Gospel with the campers.

Days 8-13

The Christian Retreat Center hosts children’s retreats each year in the summer and also serves as a Bible School for college students and adults. Part of your ministry can be focused on helping French youth learn English through classroom instruction and outdoor activities. You will find time throughout each day, both scheduled and unscheduled, to demonstrate your faith and the Truth of God’s Word. This second week of ministry will provide multiple opportunities to deepen the relationships you’ve been building. You will be able to help the campers understand how the love of Christ can be lived out in every situation.

Day 14

After 13 days of blessing and ministry in the French Alps, it will be time for your flight back to the U.S.
