Day 1

Your group will arrive in Miami and meet your Joshua Expeditions guide, then transfer to a hotel near your mission site. Following a time for orientation and group prayer, you will begin preparing for the Spanish language immersion program. The day will close with devotions at the hotel.

Day 2

This morning your group will travel to a nearby school to conduct English/Spanish classes using a simple curriculum that will be given to you. You will be working with children from families who have been transplanted from Mexico and Honduras to work as seasonal laborers. Statistically, these children have the highest dropout rate among all children in the nation, and they often fall victim to drugs and crime. You will tailor your specific gifts to teach purpose to these young children, and you will find yourself just as blessed as them while you interact throughout the morning. During the afternoon, your group will head out to a gator farm for an adventure you will not soon forget, and then you will spend some time at an after-school program to interact with students in a casual setting. The evening will close with dinner and a time for group devotions.

Day 3

Following breakfast, your group will return to the school for another day of educational ministry. Your interaction with the students will teach demonstrate how to walk out their purpose, and your ministry will be a blessing to all. In the afternoon, the group will return to Miami for some free time and shopping at the famous boardwalk at Coral Gables. Later, you will head back to the after-school program for one last afternoon with the students. Your day will close with dinner and devotions.

Day 4

This morning your group will travel down to the Keys for a day of snorkeling and ocean fun! Not only will you enjoy the beautiful waters at Islamorada, but you will witness God’s amazing creation up close. At the end of the day your group will return to the hotel in Miami for one final night to share devotions and personal experiences.

Day 5

There will be time this morning to enjoy the local shops of the area before your group sets out for home.
