Spring Essay Contest

What does it really mean to be a Christian?
Enter the Spring Essay Contest for a chance to win
a $500 Joshua Expeditions tour scholarship!

 

Throughout history the Christian faith has been tested and questioned for validity and meaning, yet more people embrace the love of Christ through each new generation. What does it mean to be a Christian? What is the evidence of Christ in your life?

In an essay of no more than 1,000 words, describe how your actions represent Christ to the people you meet. How do you put your faith into action on a daily basis and how do you hope to share Jesus with others in the future? Submit your essay by August 15, 2011, for a chance to share your story.
 
One person will be awarded a $500 tour scholarship toward his or her Joshua Expeditions program. Second place winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card. Students must be eligible to travel with Joshua Expeditions from September 2011 through August 2012.
 

Contest Requirements:

• One essay submission is permitted per student.
• Essay may be no more than 1,000 words in length.
• Essay must be typewritten.
• Essay must include a cover page with all information listed below.
• Entrants must be eligible to travel during 2011-2012 trip season.
• Essays may be submitted by e-mail or postal mail.
• Submissions must be postmarked or sent via e-mail by August 15, 2011, at 11:59pm Central Standard Time.

How to Enter:  Submit a typed essay with cover page that includes the following:

• First and Last Name
• Your Age
• Your E-mail Address
• Daytime Phone Number
• Complete Mailing Address
• School You Attend (including name, city and state)
• Name of Sponsoring Teacher

 

All submissions must be e-mailed or postmarked by August 15, 2011

No purchase necessary. Students must be eligible to travel with Joshua Expeditions between September 2011 and August 2012. Students do not have to be registered for a specific tour at time of contest submission. Scholarship must be used for a Joshua Expeditions tour.
