Eastern Europe Expedition

Days 1-2

Your group will take an overnight flight into Prague, Czech Republic, where your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet you at the airport. Your exploration of the Czech capital will begin with a visit to Charles Square, St. Vitus Cathedral and Wenceslas Square. In the evening you will have a little time to shop before visiting the Charles Bridge. Dinner and devotions will close the day.

Day 3

Today the group will visit Hradčany Castle and the National Museum, then spend the evening along the river banks exploring historic old Prague. Devotions and a time of discussion will close the day.

Day 4

Your group will transfer to Vienna today, making stops along the way as you travel through the Czech Republic. After check-in at the hotel, you will enjoy an evening walking tour in the Austrian imperial city then conclude the day with dinner and group devotions.

Day 5

This morning the group will take a guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace, followed by an afternoon walking tour of Vienna. You might choose to participate in an optional activity at the Museum of Fine Arts or at the homes of Beethoven or Mozart before concluding the day with devotions at the hotel. (Fees for optional activities are not included in the price of the trip.)

Day 6

Today you will visit Bratislava, Slovakia, where you will have the opportunity to attend classes at an English-speaking Christian high school and interact with Slovakian students*. Later you will enjoy a walking tour of Bratislava before the group must depart for Budapest. (*Additional ministry opportunities may be available for this day.)

Day 7

Your tour of Budapest will include visits to the Castle District, Heroes' Square, Gellért Hill and several large cathedrals. In the evening you will even have the option to visit an authentic Turkish bath. Devotions at the hotel will wrap up this day.

Day 8

This morning you will have time for shopping at the Budapest public market, and then your afternoon will feature optional activities like the Museum of Fine Arts and a visit to Margaret Island. In the evening you will enjoy a relaxing stroll along the Danube River before returning to the hotel for devotions and discussion.

Day 9

During the morning your group will travel out into the Hungarian countryside before participating in an evening of ministry. Working with a local organization, you will have opportunity to serve the people of the area and immerse yourself in Hungarian culture. Your day will conclude with devotions as you wrap up this fantastic week in Europe.

Day 10

Your group will depart early from Budapest on the flight home.
