Day 1

Your group will arrive in Washington, D.C., in the early afternoon, where you will be greeted at the airport by a Joshua Expeditions representative. From there you will head to your housing facility at the homeless mission. Following an orientation session, your group will assist the mission with preparing and serving dinner to the homeless community of the area. Later, you will have the opportunity to see the nation's capital at night before heading back to the mission for a time of devotion.

Days 2-4

Each morning the group will help the mission prepare and serve breakfast to the community. The remainder of the day will be spent at a food warehouse where you will help sort and bag food for needy communities around D.C. Over 2000 families receive much-needed healthy food every month through the ministry of these type groups, and your service will bring hope and encouragement to the people you meet. At the end of the afternoon, your group will return to the homeless mission to assist with dinner service, and then you will have opportunities each evening for sightseeing around the city. The nights will close with a return to the mission for shared devotions and a time of reflection.

Day 5

This morning you will assist the mission with the breakfast service before saying your goodbyes. After some last-minute sightseeing and souvenir shopping, it will be time to head home.
