Day 1

After your arrival in Washington, D.C., you will meet your Joshua Expeditions guide then head out for a driving tour of Embassy Row and the National Cathedral. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a walking tour of the Mall and the memorials for Washington, Jefferson and F.D. Roosevelt. Later, you will take some time for dinner and even some shopping before the day closes with devotions at the hotel.


Day 2

Your day begins with an exterior visit to the White House where you will have plenty of photo opportunities as well as some time for shopping among the local street vendors. In the afternoon, the group will visit the Capitol Building then walk over to the Supreme Court. Following dinner in the city, you will take a walking tour of the war memorials commemorating World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, then conclude the day with devotions at the hotel. (Optional tours of the White House interior and the Supreme Court must be arranged through a member of Congress.)


Day 3

This morning you will visit Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where you will witness the ceremony of the changing of the guard. Before leaving Arlington, the group will drive by the Iwo Jima memorial, which commemorates one of the most costly victories of World War II, and then your group will transfer by coach to Philadelphia.


Day 4

Following breakfast at the hotel in Philly, your group will set out to explore colonial Philadelphia at Independence National Historical Park. You will see Carpenter’s Hall, Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell, among other famous sites. Following lunch, there will be a chance to relax and do some shopping before the group visits National Constitution Center to learn more about the impact of the U.S. Constitution. In late afternoon you will travel by coach to New York City and close the day with devotions at the hotel.


Day 5

This day begins with a walking tour of Midtown Manhattan and the surrounding neighborhoods, where you see such historic sites as St. Patrick's Cathedral and Rockefeller Center, home to NBC Studios and shows like Saturday Night Live and Today. Following dinner in Times Square, the group will take a night tour of this famous area known as the "Crossroads of the World" and then you will close the day with devotions at the hotel.


Day 6

Your group will begin this day with a visit to Ellis Island to learn about the thousands of immigrants who came to America looking for a better life. Traveling by ferry past the Statue of Liberty, you will be able to view the Lady's torch that features seven points, one for each of the seven continents, and later your group will take a tour at Ground Zero, which memorializes the events of September 11, 2001. Afterward, a walking tour of lower Manhattan will take you to Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, and Federal Hall, the site where George Washington gave his first inaugural address. In the evening you will enjoy dinner in the city followed by attendance at a Broadway show (based on availability). The day will conclude with devotions at the hotel.


Day 7

On this final morning of your trip, the group will visit one of New York's world-renowned museums, such as The Guggenheim or the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Later, you will enjoy lunch and some free time at Central Park before it's time for your group to set out for the journey home.
