Sports Ministry in the Czech Republic

Days 1-2

Take an overflight to Austria, where your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet you at the airport and travel with you to Vienna! After checking into the hotel and grabbing lunch, you will have time to explore around the Ringstrasse (or Ring Boulevard) before the group sets off to see some of Vienna's major sites, including the Stephansplatz and the Neues Rathaus. You will visit the city's premier landmark, St. Stephen's Cathedral, then stop for dinner in the city before returning to the hotel for devotions and a time of discussion.

Day 3

Following breakfast at the hotel, your group will take a guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace during the morning. In the afternoon you will enjoy a walking tour of Vienna and have opportunity for optional activities like a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts and other nearby museums. The day will conclude with dinner at the restaurant of your choice and devotions at the hotel. (Fees for optional activities are not included in the price of the trip.)

Day 4

This morning the group will travel into the Czech Republic, stopping in Brno, the country's second largest city. Following lunch, there will be a time of orientation at The Lighthouse, a Christian recreational sports facility for youth, which will be your lodging and the site of your missions activities.

Days 5-6

Today your team will begin the sports camps. You will host clinics for area youth in the sports of soccer, basketball or baseball, allowing many opportunities to share your faith in the midst of fun activities. At the close of each day, the group will share a time of devotion and reflection on the experiences of the day.

Day 7

Following breakfast, your group will take a day trip to Prague, where you can explore Hradčany, the Castle District, including Saint Vitus Cathedral and Prague Castle, said to be the largest castle in the world. After lunch, the group will cross the great Charles Bridge to enjoy some free time. Later, you will take a small tour of the older part of Prague, including a walk into Wenceslas Square and a viewing of the Old Jewish Cemetery. In the evening, the group will head over to the International Baptist Seminary Campus for the night.

Day 8

Your tour concludes early this morning with your flight back home.
