Day 1

Your group will arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica, and meet your Joshua Expeditions guide once you pass through airport security. You will transfer by bus to the hotel and, if time permits, there may even be time to shop at a traditional Costa Rican market in downtown San Jose. Following dinner you will return to the hotel for devotions and a chance to share the day’s experiences.

Day 2

Today you will have the unique opportunity to serve with a local organization reaching out to a very marginal community in the San Jose area. Physical and spiritual needs are great within the communities of Costa Rica, and you will be challenged to share your faith through both word and deed. Your group may participate in light construction projects and there will be opportunities to spend time with the local children to share God's love. Every task will be an opportunity for evangelistic outreach.

Day 3

In the morning your group will travel to Fortuna and Mt. Arenal, one of the world's most active volcanoes. On the way there, you will stop by Zarcero for a visit to a church with some very unique landscaping, then your group will take a hike in the rainforest to view a spectacular waterfall. In the evening you will enjoy the natural hot springs at the foot of the volcano, and if it is a clear night, you will also get to see the mighty fireworks of Arenal! This will be a unique experience to share with your group as you close the evening with devotions.

Day 4

Today you will soar through the jungle canopy on a zip line tour. You might even want to try out the Tarzan swing! After lunch your group will head back to San Jose by way of the town of Sarchi, where you will have a chance to do a little shopping at a traditional Costa Rican marketplace and pick up souvenirs among the local artisan crafts. Dinner and devotions will close the day in San Jose.

Day 5

Your group will head out this morning for the flight back home.
