Day 1

Your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet you as you arrive in Sacramento, then your group will head out to tour the Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic District and history museum. Following dinner, the group will head to the hotel for a time of devotions.


Day 2

This morning you will visit the Capitol Building for a guided tour to experience not only the history of the building but also to learn about California state government and how it works. Following lunch, the group will head to either the Discovery Museum's Gold Rush History Center or Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park where you will learn about the history of Sacramento forged through the years of the Wild West and the gold rush. You will also have opportunity to pan for gold and keep what you find! Your evening will conclude with dinner and devotions at the hotel.


Day 3

This morning will provide a few options after your group checks out of the hotel. You may find yourself at the California State Railroad Museum, Crocker Art Museum, Wells Fargo History Museum, Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park or Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park. You will also explore Old Sacramento and its many shops and restaurants before time to head home.
