Budapest Mission Adventure

Days 1-2

Board an overnight flight to arrive in Munich, Germany, on the following morning where your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet you at the airport. The group will travel by bus to Dachau for an unforgettable tour of the concentration camp. Afterward, you will stop for lunch in the heart of Munich, the largest city in Bavaria, and visit Hofbräuhaus, Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt. Your journey toward Budapest will continue with a stop for the night in Vienna, Austria.

Day 2

Following breakfast, your group will take some time to explore Vienna, beginning with the Ringstrasse area (or Ring Boulevard). In the afternoon you will visit some of the city's major sites, including Stephansplatz and Neues Rathaus, as well as the its premier landmark, St. Stephen's Cathedral. Leaving Vienna, the group will head south into Hungary and check into the Word of Life Bible school near Budapest.

Days 3-6

During the first morning you will have a time of orientation to prepare for your next three days of service. You ministry will include service projects such as light construction, painting, and property maintenance, and you will have many opportunities to display the love of Christ in each task you accomplish. The relationships you develop as you work alongside the school's staff and residents will allow you to share your faith in both word and deed.

Day 7

Your group will take some time today to explore the city of Budapest, beginning in the city centre at the Castle District. You will cross over the Danube River for lunch and some souvenir shopping, then venture up to Saint Gellért Hill for a bird's-eye view of one of Europe's grandest cities. Throughout the day, you will also visit such sites as St. Stephen's Basilica and The Heroes' Square. Your group will return to Word of Life in the evening for a final time of devotions and discussion.

Day 8

After 7 amazing days of service in Eastern Europe it will be time to board your flight and return home.
