Day 1

You will meet your Joshua Expeditions guide at the airport in New York City, then transfer to your hotel for an orientation session. A walking tour of Midtown Manhattan will introduce you to the surrounding neighborhoods, including such historic sites as St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Center. The group will then head to Times Square for an enjoyable night tour. Devotions and group discussion will provide some time to reflect on all the group learns throughout the day.

Day 2

Your day begins with a visit to Ellis Island to learn about the waves of immigrants that came ashore from 1892-1924, an experience that has become even more meaningful since September 11, 2001. Your group will then have a chance to visit Ground Zero, Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, historic Trinity Church, and Federal Hall, where George Washington gave his first inaugural address. In the afternoon, you will enjoy an urban hike through the world-famous neighborhoods of Chinatown and Little Italy before concluding the day with devotions.

Day 3

Today you will visit one of New York’s world-renowned museums, like the Guggenheim or the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Later, you will enjoy lunch and some free time at Central Park before heading to Lincoln Center to participate in the “Meet the Artist" program and maybe a workshop or two. You will have some time for shopping on 5th Avenue or at Macy’s department store before stopping for dinner, and then the group will head to the top of the Empire State Building for a spectacular view of the city. The day will conclude with devotions at the hotel.

Day 4

This morning you will spend some time helping out at a local agency in the city. Ministry to the many in need in New York City simply helps add a greater purpose to your tour. Later, you will enjoy a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge on the way back to the hotel to prepare for a special dinner and a night on Broadway. There may also be time for a tour of Radio City Music Hall before the group closes the day with devotions and group discussion at the hotel.

Day 5

Rising early, the group will head back to Rockefeller Center to join the crowd with hopes of making an appearance on NBC's Today show. Later you will have one last opportunity for shopping in the city before departing for home.
