Day 1
Your group will take a flight to Boston, Massachusetts, and meet your Joshua Expeditions tour director at the airport after passing through security. A private charter bus will transfer you to Harvard Square in Cambridge, where your group will enjoy a walking tour of the area. You will visit many historic sites, including Cambridge Common, Longfellow House, and Wadsworth House, and you will also have a chance to view the Harvard art collections that are housed in the Fogg, Sackler, and Busch-Reisinger Museums. Following dinner in the Cambridge area your group will transfer to the hotel for a night of devotions and preparation for the days ahead.Day 2
This morning will begin with breakfast at your hotel before heading to the nearest train station to board the Boston T, en route to the Museum of Fine Arts. After your morning tour of the museum, the group will walk a short distance to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and take some time to enjoy lunch at the café. (The cost of this meal is not included in the price of your trip.) At the Gardner Museum you will have the option to take a guided tour or experience the museum's collections at your own pace. Afterward, your group will take the T to Copley Square for a walking tour of the area. You will stop at several sites along the tour route, including Trinity Church, John Hancock Tower, Boston Public Library, and the New Old South Church, and then you will visit the Prudential Center to view the city from the Prudential Tower skywalk. Your next stop will be Christian Science Plaza, where you will experience the incredible Mapparium, a three-story, painted-glass globe through which visitors travel on a thirty-foot glass bridge. In the evening your group will enjoy dinner in the city before taking the train back to the hotel for devotions and an opportunity to discuss the day's events.Day 3
Today your group will take another train to Boston Common where you will begin a walking tour along the Freedom Trail. The trail will lead you to a variety of historic sites, including the Old South Meeting House, Old State House, and Faneuil Hall, as well as the site of the Boston Massacre. You will also stop to view the Holocaust Memorial. After a lunch break at Quincy Market, your group will continue along the Freedom Trail, stopping at Paul Revere’s House in the North End and then The Old North Church, where Revere began his famous ride. From there your group will continue across the Charlestown Bridge to conclude the Freedom Trail tour with a visit to Bunker Hill Monument and the USS Constitution. You will have time to explore Boston's Inner Harbor before returning to the North End for dinner in the Italian District. The evening will conclude with devotions at your hotel. (NOTE: The cost of the lunch meal is not included in the price of your trip.)Day 4
On this final morning in Boston your group will enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out and loading luggage onto your private coach, which will transfer your group to Beacon Hill. A walking tour of the area will introduce you to the Massachusetts State House, Park Street Church, and the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial. Your group will take time for lunch in the area, where you might want to choose Bull and Finch Pub, famous for being the exterior filming location of Cheers television series. Depending on your group's afternoon departure time, there may be opportunity for a visit to John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum or the New England Aquarium before transferring to the airport for your flight back home. (NOTE: The cost of the lunch meal and cost of admission to the museum and aquarium are not included in the price of your trip.)Your group may want to include these optional activities:
