Days 1-2

Your group will take an overnight flight into Frankfurt, Germany, where you will meet a Joshua Expeditions guide at the airport. Your group will travel by private coach down the Romantic Road to Rothenberg, one of Germany's best examples of a medieval-walled town. After checking into the hotel, which is surrounded by the famed Altes Bräuhaus, you will spend the afternoon touring and shopping in town before returning to the hotel for devotions and discussion. Surrounded by the beauty of the area, it will be easy to meditate on God's amazing creation.

Day 3

This morning your group will travel by bus to Munich, the largest city in Bavaria, where you will visit such famous sites as the Hofbräuhaus, Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt and Dachau Concentration Camp. As evening approaches, the tour will head south into the Bavarian/Austrian Alps where your group will spend the next few days. Devotions and discussion at the hotel will conclude the day.

Day 4

This morning you will take off for the first alpine adventure, a hike deep into a beautiful canyon at Partnachklamm (Partnach Gorge). Later you will see Olympic Stadium in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the site of the 1936 Olympic Winter Games, and the afternoon will bring the first scheduled ministry opportunity in the town of Garmisch. During the evening you will enjoy an authentic Bavarian dinner with a local music and dance performance, and then return to the hotel for devotions at day's end.

Day 5

Today your group will head to Eibsee, where the cogwheel train ride up to Germany's highest peak, the Zugspitze, will reveal one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. You will have the options of skiing and participating in other snow activities, or you can simply enjoy the panoramic view of Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. After a long day of winter fun, the group will return to Garmisch for dinner, then close the day at the hotel with a time of devotions and discussion. (Equipment rental fees are not included in the price of the trip.)

Day 6

You will spend this morning in the market town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where you can shop and take in the sights before the group heads out to Neuschwanstein Castle. At day's end, you will return to Garmisch for dinner followed by devotions and discussion at the hotel in preparation for the next day's departure to Switzerland.

Day 7

This morning the group will take a bus across the border into Austria, en route to Switzerland. You will have lunch in Vaduz, the capital of the small country of Liechtenstein, then journey through Switzerland and the Alps before arriving in Lucerne by evening. After this busy travel day you will enjoy a relaxing dinner and an evening of devotions.
