Space Camp Adventure

Day 1

Your group will arrive in Huntsville and meet a Joshua Expeditions guide. The next three days will be spent at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center where your group will participate in the Pathfinder program. You will be immersed in hands-on training for a space shuttle mission, including shuttle and space station simulators. You will also experience a giant-screen IMAX presentation that provides the sensation of a real Shuttle launch.

Day 2

Your Space Camp experience will include the history of the space program from NSTA Standards to the missions of the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs. You will visit the Shuttle Exhibit, highlighting 20 years of space shuttle flight, and participate in a scavenger hunt inside Rocket Park, which includes a collection of the vehicles America has used to launch astronauts into space. Another scavenger hunt will take you through the Space Center's museum that includes a moon rock, an Apollo capsule and the last remaining fragment of Skylab. At the end of your training, your group will participate in the Space Bowl, a game show-style session that reviews the information you have learned throughout the camp.

Day 3

Your time at Space Camp will come to a close this morning as the group departs for home.
